Old Windsor faced FC Beaconsfield in their final home league game of the season.
 
OW made a few changes with Trent coming in for Adam in goal, Andy and Mathias both made starts in place of Luke and Matty.
 
It was a tense opening 20 minutes with neither team creating any chances with the ball being played in either sides defensive third of the pitch. When OW looked to counter attack it was well defended by the speedy Beaconsfield CB and it was making for a difficult afternoon.
 
After about 25 minutes OW got a free kick on the right hand side which Dom crossed in perfectly. Sean got his head to it, but his effort went wide. This would end up being our best chance of the first half.
 
Right on half time Beaconsfield struck when Dom's pass was cut out a nice bit of play ended up with the striker shooting, the ball hit Lee which took it past Trent. 
 
Half time 0-1.
 
The second half started much the same as the first, both sides playing some decent stuff, but not much happening. Then out of nothing OW conceded a freekick on the left hand side. Pilcher looked to have cleared the ball, but it hit Andy on the back and went in to our own net.
 
Although playing some good stuff Beaconsfield were not creating a great deal, but that soon changed with OW going forward trying to equalise the ball landed at the feet of the Beaconsfield CM who smashed it into the bottom corner. 0-3 and game over OW were now playing for pride.
 
To be fair OW continued to put the effort in and worked hard all over the pitch. They saw Joe sent off harshly for a second booking, but the effort levels then increased even higher and with 5 minutes to go Rory finished nicely to get OW on the score sheet.
 
Disappointing final home league game, but hopefully a cup run might see some more football in Old Windsor this season.
