A solid performance in what was a horrible niggle match where to Old Windsor the result was just as important as performance. With Michael making his debut, Rees making his 1st appearance this season and Wrigty starting for the first time, it was a team that summed up the season, lack of consistency. But as with last week the commitment and effort was everything that is expected of an Old Windsor team.
In the first half it soon became apparent that when we go the ball down we could make chances and Carl, Scouse and Brad all had good half chances that could not find the back of the net. Saints looked dangerous from set pieces and were always a threat. On half time the match became bitty, with both teams getting involved with each other and the Referee.
In the second half We started really well and after 50 minutes took the lead when James long distance effort found the back of the net. 10 minutes later a good move saw Brad put James through who finished coolly. Saints continued to try and get back in the game and pulled one back with 10 minutes to go, but Old Windsor held on to get a welcomed 3 points.
Special praise to Michael and Moley at the back who ensure that we defended well and only conceded one scrappy goal.
