Match report

This match was a tough tight match that saw Old Windsor end up nicking it 1-0, but it could have been so different had Old Windsor taken their chances in the 1st half . The game started with Old Windsor on the front foot and in the first 5 minutes we had a host of corners but the first shot was not until 6 minutes when Jake shot wide. This was followed by an effort from Joe that was blocked by the defenders , next up to take a shot was Jake, this time over the bar. A good chance for Brad on 12 minutes from a free kick after Harry was fouled, again over the bar. Cressex then had their first spell off pressure and had a few corners and a couple of shots that were off target. With Brad influencing the game, he finds Harry who spreads it wide to Jake who fires a shot past the keeper but hits the post and goes wide. Then on 27 minute Jake beats the full back and what seemed like a stonewall penalty but was not given. Then on 30 missed the referee gave a soft penalty after a foul on Scouse. Brad hits a solid penalty but the keeper guessed correctly and made a good save. This didn't affect the team and the chance kept coming with chances for Harry and Nick. in a first half that we did everything but score nut it remained 0-0 .

In the second half it was a much more even affair and on 55 minutes the move of the match, it came down the right hand side Lewis found Jake he runs to the edge the box and plays Harry through who lifts it over the keeper as he advances. Cressex then applied a lot of pressure without making a lot of chances. Bealsie was alive when required and everybody felt that it would take some brilliant or a mistake for Cressex to score.

1-0 was the final score and after a lot of hard work the result was Old Windsor's, but i am sure that Cressex will pick up quite a few points this season.

Man of the match was Joe who was everywhere both attacking and defending.
