Match report

Back to League action this week against the same opposition as last week in the second league meeting of the season. From the start Old Windsor started on the front foot, attacking hard with intent and it was not long until this pressure paid off, Luke wins a penalty, but for the 1st time this season Harry's shot is well saved by the giant keeper. However from the resultant corner the ball fell to Dale who fired his shot home to make it 1-0. There was then a period of mediocrity on a tough pitch with no team really dominating, but as the half went on we became dominant with chances coming and going Luke, Harry, Walts and Lewis. Then on 40 minutes a key save from Dan when he turned round a long range effort.

1-0 up at half time and we was still a bit disappointed, that shows how far we have come as a team, but i must say the boys responded well and for 15 minutes we was outstanding. On 47 Luke was fouled yet again, this time Walts stuck the free kick well and after a deflection it ended up in the back of the net.Harry then had a couple f efforts well saved from the keeper and you felt it was not his day, but on 57 another great bit of play down the left ended up with Maggsy finding Harry his shot was once again saved, but this time Chris got on the end of it and smashed it into the corner. I think our minds were taken off the game and two quick fire goals set up a tense last 20 minutes, but with Dale marshaling the defence we saw it through and in all honestly should have scored more and looked the more likely.

We continue to do well in the league and are putting a lot of pressure on the other teams to keep winning, this weeks Man of the Match was Lucas who was outstanding at right back and probably had his best game ever for the club.

Next week we travel to Iver Heath for our last League game of the season.
