After a disappointing result against Slough Heating it was time to take their reserves on in the League, and how we bounced back, a much improved performance that saw us winning 7-0 and making it 10 out of 10 in the League.
Old Windsor started on the front foot and it soon became apparent that they were in the mood for the match, in the first 5 minutes Chris was put through but driven wide and his sot was off target, A corner ended up in a mass scramble that was some how cleared. Chris through again and with just the keeper will be disappointed that the finish was straight at keeper. A free kick into the box found Dale who's header was saved by the keeper and all in the 1st 10 minutes. Slough Heating then had a couple of minutes of pressure and this resulted in a a goal being disallowed offside when headed in, this proved a let off and knocked Old Windsor off their stride for 10 minutes. On 23 minutes a piece of quick thinking form Lex saw Harry played in wide and his cross just eluded Jake. The break through finally came on 34 minutes when Whitey found Jake who played an lovely ball through to Harry who finished well. 1-0 at half time and with the wind behind in the second half it was looking good.
Old Windsor come out with with intent and on 53 doubled their lead when Jake curls one in the top corner after Harry found him after winning the ball in Sloughs half. Two minutes latter Walts wins a penalty after being fouled from a long throw, Harry coolly tucks away the penalty away. Aaron then gets in on the act with two great strikes, the first fired in after he picked up a clearance, the second even better when Rory found him and he found the top corner from 25 yards. Old Windsor continued to go forward with Whitey having a good shot saved. The in the last 5 minutes Harry and Maggsy completed their hatricks. 1st was Harry who won the ball found Sean who found Rory, his shot was fell to Harry who tucked it away. Maggsys was all of his own making, he pressed the ball and won it and then when through on goal saw his first effort saved but slotted the rebound into the corner.
This was the perfect performance as a pick me up after the previous game.
