Match report

The match started in blistering conditions with Old Windsor on the front foot, looking strong going forward and solid at the back. After a couple of poor corners the first goal came from an excellent corner from Ric that John headed home on 5 minutes. Sandhurst reacted well and started to look dangerous on the break especially on their left, but Rees was up to it and stifled their attempts. Chances were coming and going and it was no surprise Alex scored his fist goal on 25 minutes and then Chris added a third on 35 minutes. Sandhurst rattled the bar and Gary had to make a sharp save. Brad was running the show from the back and on a big picth the midfield 3 of Ric, Alex and Bolding where controlling possession all be it hard work!

3-0 at half time and baring miracles the result was in the bag.

The second half started well and with Callum scoring his first goal for the club in the 47th minute, then Max headed in to make it 5-0 on 59 minutes. The game then got messy, lots of substitutions and Old Windsor taking their eye off the ball. Sandhurst continued to battle well and scored with a great strike on 67 m minutes. Sandhurst continued to battle and forced another good save from Gary. The final goal was for Chris on 88 minutes.

A good game for the reserves to start their league campaign, with 5 new scorers for the club, MOM was Rees pushed close by Brad and Alex. LOz was pleased with the team performance and is looking forward to the season ahead.
