Gareth takes over from our outgoing Director of Cricket, Gavin Haynes. Gavin has done a fantastic job during his tenure, laying strong foundations for the future and helping deliver our most successful all-round season for the senior teams last year. Thank you, Gavin!

Gareth has been part of the Ombersley family for the past 10 seasons. His commitment, experience and calm leadership, both on and off the field, have earned him huge respect within the club and across the wider cricketing community.

Alongside his time at Ombersley, Gareth brings a wealth of professional experience, having enjoyed a long career across first-class, List A and T20 cricket with Somerset, Worcestershire and Hampshire. He now brings that knowledge and perspective back to the club.

As Director of Cricket, Gareth will focus on:

• Cricket strategy and performance, supporting engagement, selection and recruitment across all teams
• Player development and coaching, helping players progress from junior cricket through to the 1st XI
• Club culture and community, nurturing the values that make Ombersley such a special place to play cricket
