Kristian Morgans Greens surprised title favourites Wellington Reserves on Saturday, holding them to a score draw.
Conditions were great for football, with the sun out and a slight breeze, which helped keep the players cool. Will Caswell opened the scoring with a superb free-kick on 25 minutes. Forward Simon Mills was cut down 30 yards out and the resulting kick curled over the wall and in to the top left hand corner of the net, with the Welly keeper unable to get near.
Nathan 'Nugget' Hardisty could have made it 2-0, but his shot was brilliantly turned against the post by the away keeper.

Both sides made changes early in the second half and Welly started off the stronger, with home keeper Kelvin Thomas pulling off some fine saves to keep the Greens in front.
Wellington brought on a fresh striker, who made contact with the ball from a corner and hooked it in to the net to level on 60 minutes.
Orleton started to tire as relentless attacking from Wellington saw the ball in the back of the net, but the 'scoring' striker was given off-side.
In all, a draw seemed a fair result and the Greens will take heart ahead of Tuesdays derby fixture at home against Tenbury United.
Manager Kristian Morgan gave 'Man of the match' to Centre-back Tom 'Bunter' George as he had made some fine last gasp blocks and covered well.
Kick off for the Tenbury United fixture is 18.30 at Orleton Rec on Tuesday night.
