Tigers win in the rain.

On a windy and rainy afternoon at the Tigers Den, Your Tigers beat a resolute St Joes on a heavy pitch.

The afternoon started of with a big downpour and that dampened your Tigers start to the game and it showed with a couple of sluggish sets with them camped in their own half. But after a good kick down field and a great defensive set your Tigers grew in to the game, and it showed with the field becoming very heavy in the St Joes 30 as that's where the game seemed to stay. and after 15 minutes a good kick across field for winger Ryan Dudley chased and scored in the corner nipping around the st joes winger. Ex St Joes Nick Mitchell failed with the conversion, but this didn't stop the Tigers as they then went on the offensive and was back in the Joes half but couldn't capitalise numerous chances, which after 34 mins St Joes made a break up field but their full back was tackled 20 metres away and 3 tackles later a neat little grubber to the corner and the centre Shaun Green touched down for a unconverted try. This lead to 4-4 game going into half time.

Second half began slowly for the young Tigers and after a knock on in their own 20 metres, full back Sam Hendricks who had been a thorn in the Tigers side all day skipped across the line for another unconverted try to make it 4-8 to joes. This didn't faze the Tigers as they battled to control the game and it was a case of when not if, for when the would score and well worked training ground move saw Back row Arron Williams break through on half way and side step the Joes full back for a try under the posts, of which Nick Mitchell converted to make it 10-8, after 66 mins

The next 14 minutes was attest for the Tigers but held out and in last 2 mins with the joes attacking in the Tigers 20 they knocked on and argued with the referee for him to award a penalty and the Tigers and he marched them again for 30 metere and ypur Tigers saw the game out in the St Joes half.

Your Tigers are at home again next week to another Huddersfield team in Lindley Swifts, so come on down to the Pavilion for a 2pm Kick off.
