Whilst there is no official date when rugby will restart, the RFU have issued the 2020-21 fixture tables for the resumption of rugby once the Resumption Roadmap has achieved stage six. Currently we are at stage two.
Most leagues have been split into two groups based on geography and the season divided into three windows. Groups at our level will have seven clubs.
For Window 1, clubs will play each team in their group home and away and will take 14 rounds. This window is represented in blue on the attached document. If rugby does not start as planned, each week will be moved to the end of the first window. For example, if rugby does not start until Round 6, the first game will be the fixture listed for Round 6 and not Round 1. Once Round 14 has been completed the scheduled fixtures for Rounds 1-5 would then be played in order, completing Window 1.
If Window 1 is successfully completed, teams will then move onto Window 2 (tan), which will see clubs compete against clubs from the other group in their league, once – either home or away.
If there is still time before the end of the scheduled league season, Window 3 (green) will be played – where the reversed fixtures of window 2 will take place.
