And so the season comes to its climax, Otley travel to York looking for their 24th win of the season. A win against York would see Otley crowned champions above Preston Grasshoppers and will crown what they set out to do at the start of the season.
York RUFC, who are the 100th league opposition that Otley have played since the 1987-88 season, will be looking to go out on a high. With the exception of their game against Northwich (a 57-0 win), York have lost their last five games although their worst losing margin was just 7 points. Along the way they have come close to beating Billingham, Blackburn and Lymm at Clifton Park.
For what will be Elliot Morgan's 50th league appearance for the club, Otley have Reece Ward back in the front row and Callum Irvine returns to the centre, in this winner takes all match.
If you are going to the match (but are not on the supporters' coach), York have told us this Saturday looks to be an extremely busy day at Clifton Park with two rugby matches, a sold out lunch, cricket on the second team pitch, tennis and a caravan rally on the grounds. They have made arrangements for overflow parking at Clifton Park Business Park - but please arrive in good time as it is a 10 minute walk from there and there could be congestion at the gate in the build up to kick off. The correct admission money would also be a great help, and payment can also be made by card. FYI: Adults £8.00, Concessions ( 65+) £6.00. Under 16's free.
Let's go to York for one more time this season and help them achieve their goal - a win (and all that will bring)!
