After careful consideration we decided to change things round giving players an opportunity to play a different role with a mixture of new and old team mates.
The changes proved a hit with Otley securing wins in all 4 of the matches played and giving the coaching staff the opportunity to see players taking on a different role.
The changes brought a more even balance to our two teams with great displays of the players working together as a team and moving the ball around.
As the season moves on we will continue to ring the changes and with one eye on the full contact game next year, we can start and evaluate individual players for the forwards and backs roles needed for our venture into the under 9's.
The hard work the players have put in during training is now starting to come to fruition with some fine displays of inter-link passing and a general all round awreness of what is happening on the field of play.
The next test for our under 8's is Doncaster, who visit Pool Road on the 11th November and as always will provide a tough test for the boys in black.
