Otley show their metal

Facing another long journey we travelled to Sheffield in the second round of the Yorkshire Cup.Injuries and unavailability again left us with only 16 players. The game was very close from kick off to the final whistle.The hosts kicked offand despite a lot of early pressure were unable to put points on the board.The deadlock was broken after 15 mins when the host capitalised on our indicipline from two penalties close to the line. As half time neared we finally got the ball wide allowing our winger to score from halfway. The second half started well with full back and wing combining to give us a 10-5 lead.The hosts never gave up but our greater fitness eventually paid dividends with two further tries in the last five minutes giving us a well deserved 20-5 win.
Our reward is a place in the last 8 with the games to be played just before Christmas
