Former WRU North Wales Director of Rugby was presented with a commemorative gift at NWRUC meeting tonight to mark his retirement last year. Photo shows the ever popular Austin being presented by Tony Gray NWRUC President and Dai Davies NWRUC Chairman.

Tony mentioned the huge debt that North Wales rugby owed to Austin who pioneered many positive changes during his long career. His tenure saw substantial increase in participation levels, the growth of clubs in our area and culminated in the setting up of the very successful RGC Academy/RGC1404.

In his response Austin wished his successor Marc Roberts and North Wales rugby continued success and we all in North wales rugby join in wishing Austin a long and happy retirement with our grateful appreciation of his invaluable contribution to our game.
