Owermoigne FC today compete in Dorset Football League action for what seems like the first time in an eternity, when they entertain their mid table visitors from Stalbridge.
Chris Meadows' side have an opportunity to leapfrog Stalbridge and move up into 5th position with victory, but with both sides likely to be a little rusty, it is a tough game to call. The Owls will have to make do without the services of in form midfielder Gregg McKinstry who is out of the country, as well as left backs Robert Ritchie and Ross Moors. Regular Danny Roach also misses out among others.
What will please Meadows is the abundance of attacking options at his disposal. As well as welcoming dual registered debutant Charlie Kenderdine to the fold, Kevin Paice and Olly Stanton also return to the squad. With Adam Sargent, Ismael Gonzalez, Simon Meadows, James Roper and Chris Nelson also available in the attacking positions, the manager has some enviable selection dilemmas.
Meadows hopes that this return to action and strong squad can kick off an improved second half of the season for Owermoigne who have had an up and down start to life in Division Three, but have the foundations built for a strong finish.
Owls Squad: Mauger; Heaton, Broadbent, Laing, Anderson, Coombs; S. Meadows, Sargent, Kenderdine, J. Roper, Nelson; Gonzalez, Paice, Stanton.
