Join us for the Big One on Saturday, where a win against Gloucestershire could see Oxford clinch top spot in the West of England Division.

Gloucestershire Warriors visit North Hinksey this weekend for a game that will decide who tops the league at the end of the regular season.

The Cavaliers, who won on the opening day of the campaign at Gloucester, lead on points difference with just one round to play. And Club captain John Connaughton knows that a win should seal first place for his side. "We've had a good season, and scored a lot of points. That's in our favour at this stage but it's important we get the win on Saturday and go into the play-offs strong".

Oxford bring Joel Holmes back into a side that is high on confidence after a hard fought win against Swindon two weeks ago. And with the possibility that Bradford Bulls' Super League Grand Final winner, Tevita Vaikona could wear the Cavaliers shirt again, they are in good shape.

Vaikona, who also coaches at the Cavaliers, made his debut a fortnight ago and is enjoying his short spell back in the action . "It's been great getting the boots on again, and there's a really good feeling amongst the group. We want this win, and I'm positive that will show through on Saturday".

The team will though be without the influential duo of Connaughton and dummy half, Stewart Hannah. Both of whom miss the game through injury.

Gloucestershire Warriors finished their home league campaign last Saturday, with a`50-20 victory over Swindon St George. The impressive Sam Goatley scoring a hat-trick of tries and five goals.

Elsewhere in the Rugby League Conference West, third play second as Bristol Sonics travel to Somerset Vikings. A big win for either could put them in title contention.
