Swindon St George 0 - Oxford Cavaliers 110

Oxford Cavaliers travelled to their local rivals and gave them an 110 - 0 thumping to return to top of the west of England league table, setting up a top two meeting next week at home to Gloucestershire Warriors.

Swindon had a full squad yet in the intense heat folded to the relentless cavaliers attack, oxford piercing the swindon defence within the first two minutes and the onslaught continued from here. The Swindon defence almost non existant throughout, while a big achievement for the 'cavs' was to keep a clean sheet with impressive defence and not giving the Wiltshire side anything to celebrate.

Oxford only managed to get to a fifth tackle kick just the once, all other tries came from beating the woeful defence they faced earlier in the sets, of almost the uncountable barrage of tries, centre Jack Briggs got 5 of them, fullback Mario De Silva 4, his returning cousin to the squad Jonty got a brace and so did scrum half John Connaughton.

Although an impressive performance from the squad, there was little structure to the play, which facing a strong side who beat them earlier in the season next week, almost isn't the ideal preparation for the top two clash next saturday.
