2014 Dynamos & Colts
After a two week transfer test break, our boys got back to action with two games in the Lisburn Castlereagh Premiership. Here's how they got on.

v Hillsborough Boys
The Colts travelled up to Finaghy for a late morning kick-off short on numbers, with a few boys missing due to sickness.

Despite a cold morning, both teams started well. The first chance fell to Tyler who fired just wide. Matthew then followed suit with another that also just went wide.

Ruairi drifted out to the right, and after being chopped down, got up and hit a curler that was going top bins. But from nowhere the Hillsborough keeper made a brilliant finger tip save. Ruairi was denied again as his volley on the edge of the box brought the best again from the Hillsborough keeper.

Then Hillsborough broke out. Ethan did fantastic to get back in to close down, but despite making a great tackle, it unfortunately spun into the air and looped over Conal. Hillsborough grabbed a second from a header that didn't look like it had crossed the line, but the goal was given. 2-0 down, but undeserved as our boys were playing great stuff.

We got back into the game when Jake hit a thunder bolt that flew into the top corner. Great pressing by Aidan and Eoin then sent Reece free, but despite being brought down in the box, no penalty was awarded. So 1-2 at the break.

The boys kept up the workrate at the start of the second half and kept driving forward. James I got in down the right but was unlucky to just miss Reece from his cut back.

Tyler went close with a freekick, while Matthew shot just wide from distance. Matthew then won the ball and fed to Jake, who had moved to midfield. He strode forward and from a good 30 yards, curled a peach into the bottom left corner. 2-2

Tyler went close again from two more freekicks. At the other end our defence with Aidan and Ethan were fantastic. As was Conal who kept a high line and cleared away a lot of balls played over the top.

In the end a 2-2 draw. An excellent display and one the boys were very unlucky to not come away with all 3 points.

Jake ⚽️⚽️

Our man of the match could have been any of the 10, but the players were unanimous naming Jake. Two great goals and a great all round display. Well done Jake.

v Glendown 2015
The Dynamos took on Glendowan 2015s today after a few weeks break in the Lisburn league.

The game started fairly even with both sides playing good football. The lads got the breakthrough with a lovely strike into the top corner from Kielam. A cracker save from Finan at the end of the half left it at 1-0 Sunnyside at the break.

Second half Glendowan came out ready to get back into the game with some well worked attacks. Then after a quick counter attack Jamie was on hand to fire the lads into a two goal lead. A switch off at the back saw the nippy striker from Glendowan latch onto a long ball and finish well to make it 2-1.

Then it was a game of free kicks. A long free from the half way line was saved but the rebound fell to the striker to equalise. Then another free kick was scored high into the net to make 3-2 Glendowan. They added another after a mix up in defence late on for the game to finish 4-2.

Overall the lads worked hard for 40 minutes of the game and just weren’t as sharp as the opposition going into the final phase of the game.

Well done to Glendowan and all the best for the remainder of the season. For our lads plenty of work to do at training this week before next weekend's game.
