With the upcoming Bledisloe Cup match being held in Perth at Optus Stadium on 10th August, the club will be playing host to a reunion for those Palmyra players and officials who were involved in the various WA State teams vs. All Blacks. The Palmyra club has a rich history of providing both players and officials to the WA state team in their matches against the All Blacks in 1970, 1974, 1984, 1988 and 1992 and will pay tribute to their performances against the touring Kiwi’s.
A reunion will be held upstairs at the club between 2 – 5pm. It is expected that many of the players including Don Galbraith, Willie & Joe TePania, Mike Allan, Robin Smith and Ricky Smith will be joined by player and coach Mal Siddons and team physiotherapist Karen Bond on the day.
Life members, past players and current members are welcome with a $10 entry fee.
Special guest on the day will be Nathan Charles who played in the 2014 Bledisloe for the Wallabies against the All Blacks; and our own Michael McDonald who this year played for the Australian Under 20s against the NZ Under 20s.
