A scrappy first-half saw both teams have a number of decent opportunities with Parkgate’s Ollie Yates making a goal saving challenge in the 15th minute. The ball came across the box and he slid in to prevent the attacker putting the ball in the net. Later in the half, Yates was the saviour again, clearing the ball from the six-yard box to prevent two Ferriby players pouncing on a rebound from a well hit shot that hit the bar.

The Steelmen has a number of chances too, the best coming as the ball fell to the man in-form ‘Jonathan Fusco, who could only put his effort wide as he went through on goal.

The first-half also saw Parkgate’s defender ‘Haydn Ward go off with a nasty looking ankle injury which saw him replaced and took through to hospital.
