Parkgate started well with Jonathan Fusco setting up Simon Harrison early on but his shot was well blocked. Shortly after for Parkgate’s skipper, Harrison, was replaced by Luke Townsend as it appeared he picked up an ankle injury early on.
In the 15th minute the hosts opened the scoring. Callum Ward firing in to put the Nostell one-up. Two minutes after it was 2-0, Kane Reece was put through and slid the ball in.
The next half chance for Parkgate fell to substitute Luke Townsend, who shot over after Liam Flint put the ball across the box.
In the 38th minute Jack Cowgill made it three. A ball into the box from a corner was met by Cowgill, who headed in from close range, unmarked.
In the 42nd minute Chris Butt made a great save to keep it only at 3-0. Minutes later on the stroke of half time it was 4-0, Rich Collier tapping in from close range to end the half.

The second half started better for Parkgate, with half-time substitute, Tim Whittaker, making an impact after replacing Mack Collinson.
The second-half was brighter for Parkgate, Fusco finding the ball more often and having a few half chances.
The ball began to be passed round quicker and Fusco’s cross was cleared by the defender but only to the feet of Tim Whittaker, who smashed the ball in with a first-time volley.
With the score at 4-1, Parkgate looked to push for more goals back. The hosts looked threatening on the break and their threat soon showed. A penalty was given to the hosts that looked questionable. It appeared Butt was held down by the striker as he attempted to get back up but the ref gave a pen for a foul. The pen was converted to make it 5-1 and that’s the way the game ended.
