Penlake Juniors established 1971
Penlake Juniors were formed in 1971 by current club president Mr Chris Duffy & Mr Eddie Guinness.
Penlake Juniors takes its name from the old British Rail Club in Sutton Junction, which is situated on the Penlake Trading Estate. Currently the Club’s committee meetings are held fortnightly on a Sunday at St Anne’s, Monastry Lane starting at 8:00pm. Our home games are played at the Beeches Playing Fields on Sutton Road, St Helens. You can find directions and a map here.
Penlake Juniors boasts 17 teams from under 8’s right up to Open Age. We have a thriving under 7’s Academy and have recently formed a girl’s team.
Penlake have enjoyed many successes since being formed, the highlight of which came in 1986 when one of our teams gained entry into the Guinness Book of World Records by achieving the longest undefeated run of 153 games between 1981 & 1986. This record still stands and makes Penlake Juniors the Team of Millenium. Click here for more information.
