Food and drink hampers were delivered to Penrith hospital and medical centres on Monday afternoon from Cranstons Food Hall courteous of fundraising from Penrith AFC Juniors.
The club decided to forfeit the children's end of season trophy and spend the money on buying hampers for local NHS staff. Due to positive feedback from within the club and parents, a donation pool was set up, https://paypal.me/pools/c/8oscwJyXji and money started rolling in.
The response has been truly overwhelming and the total continues to rise off the back of each boys and girls team posting team videos on our social media pages.
All at the club would like to thank everyone who is working on the front line and would also like to say a huge thank you to all who have donated to a wonderful cause.
The donation pool is open until Friday 8th May and we are already plotting on who to send the next batch of hampers to.
