Hello and a warm welcome back to the start of a new season at PTJ

Hello and a warm welcome back to the start of a new season at PTJ , fingers crossed the weather holds for a few more weeks so we get to enjoy those early morning kick offs with some sunshine and not the dark grey cloudy skies which will be with us sooner than we expect .
So just a reminder please respect the referee and that is everyone involved, not just the players and team officials, the parents as well. Its one of the hardest thing’s out there to do and getting any sort of official as the kids get older is becoming a struggle as they get disheartened in the early years by no support and too many people having opinions so as a Club we should encourage good sportsmanship and give praise to all our officials because trust me when I say ,You would not want to be the person in the middle officiating a game!
‘Win at all Cost’s ‘ yes we all want to win but its about the kid’s enjoying the game first , the winning will come so always support your team and the coaches throughout the season and the most important thing is the kids get to play and enjoy playing .
Can I remind everybody about the FA and the Clubs Respect Policies and also Bullying, we don’t expect to have any issues surrounding the above moving forward, however there will always be an exception and as an FA Charter standard Club we will act on any issues bought to our attention via our CWO. If you have any issues surrounding Child welfare please contact Julia Nesbitt on

We look forward to a new face in the Pavilion on a Saturday morning, Lilly Peters will be on hand for Tea’s and Coffee’s after Nick Bakers covering what was supposed to be just a couple of Saturdays! So just let Lilly find her feet and no doubt she will be flying.

There lots ahead and don’t forget this years U14 managers the Tarling Trophy organisation is your watch this year so make sure the Penalty winners are ready for the event , mangers will get the opportunity to get the Molloy cup back in 2020 after it was cruelly taken off them this year but most of all we want everyone involved in the club to enjoy themselves and benefit from what we believe is the Best Club in Hampshire and to make it even better we need support and more volunteers so don’t be afraid to get involved , there is always loads to do and however much time you have to spare we will be grateful of your help . After all we’re a COMMUNITY CLUB.

Everybody enjoys 19/20 football season, good luck to all of our teams from the mini’s to AFC men’s, Ladies and Youth. Make it fun and enjoyable and the winning will come, see you on the touch line.

Regards Nick
