From the first whistle, TFA Totteridge C showed that they were a disciplined team, controlling the game for the first ten minutes, scoring two well taken goals.
As the game progressed, Pitshanger gained confidence and during the second quarter, defenders Katie and Ben, along with defensive midfielder Rohin comfortably kept the TFA forwards at bay. Excellent goal kicks from the Pitshanger keeper Aiden Whitham helped to create chances for the Pits midfield, with two of Brandon's screamers going just wide of the TFA goal.
In the second half, a controversial third goal for TFA all but sealed the victory for the visitors. Undeterred by the score, Pitshanger continued to play with renewed energy, defending strongly and playing the ball in the TFA half. Pitshanger created several chances which were denied by the TFA keeper. Pitshanger finally got their goal from a set play when Martim drilled a corner into the near post and Man of the Match Brandon Taylor got in front of his marker to volley home and bring the game to 1 - 3.
Although the game was lost, Pitshanger showed promise and if it were not for some unlucky near misses, there may have been a different result against this more experienced team.
