Topsham go into their game against Plymstock at Bonfire Field after an 83-0 demolition job on Plympton-Victoria in the Devon Junior Cup.

Adam Buckley helped himself to five tries and there were two for Jack Knowles.

Coach Colin Milkins said: "If I can put out a team of the best players we have signed on then we are capable of pushing in the top half of the table.

"The problem is one of consistency, especially in the forwards where it is a struggle to get seven or eight of the same pack out week on week."

Plymstock Albion Oaks' head coach Adam Nicholas is wary of Topsham's claim to have a target of ending in mid-table.

Topsham were promoted last season and say they just want to hang on in Devon One.

Nicholas, though, isn't falling for that one.

"I think they're being a bit coy and we're going to be in for a hard game," said Nicholas.

"In fact, I would say we're going into the game as underdogs.

"We haven't played league rugby for a while, so what we'll be trying to do is looking to get our key skills right.

"Topsham have had some good results and are going to have a great deal of confidence."
