It was a long season for Polegate's first team, with their first pre-season game starting mid-July, with the final game finishing with a Cup Final in early June.A good league campaign saw them finish 4th and narrowly miss out on promotion, but a fantastic cup run in the Eastbourne FA Challenge Cup saw them beat AFC Uckfield Town 4-1 in the final to lift the trophy for only the 3rd time in their history, putting them alongside the 1934 and 1996 winners.
