Thank you all so much for the wonderful tributes, messages, donations and support over recent days, in addition to attendance both virtual and in person at Whitley Bay Crematorium, paying respects to our dear dad, grandad, great grandad, uncle, cousin, mentor, hero, friend, neighbour, companion and coach.

A special, moving service for an incredibly special man. Thank you so much Tony for a beautiful eulogy, paying homage to someone who has influenced so many.

We hear the secret coffee recipe still needs tweaking; we remember honey maybe being in there and perhaps demerara sugar…some of us are certain there was evaporated milk…but, without doubt – a nip or two of brandy or whisky (most likely both!). You were lucky he did not entertain you with his soups!

So many memories, and as suggested by many, we need to catch up when it is safe and share these, raise a glass or two and celebrate the successful lives of Bill and Wes.

It will also be great to talk about how we make sure his legacy at Pont continues. It is what he would want, and we all know he would not give up until we all agreed.

The donations for the Stroke Association in lieu of flowers has nearly reached a massive £1000 - thank you ?.
