Absolutely wonderful

What an absolutely wonderful weekend just gone for our senior teams. Both the Senior Men's and Ladies teams won their games and the Men's 2nd XV won as well. A great result for our Club, 3 out of 3 wins and all teams gaining 5 points. The best set of results for the Club this season to-date. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for their wonderful efforts and I hope we can keep it going in our up-coming fixtures.
Social Membership still remains a concern of mine. We have so many friends and families turn up each and every weekend to support all our teams throughout the age groups, but I seem unable to turn this support into Social Membership. I am still down on the target for Social Membership I set myself for this year. I have revised the payment arrangements for the sub's to just £5.00 per month, and even in these hard times this is very cheap. For any amateur sports club to survive and offer the facilities for our youngsters to play we need income, and because at present we have no ability to generate income from a Clubhouse we totally rely on the Sponsorship from local businesses and the Sub's from our players. However, support from the friends and families of our players can make a big difference and by becoming a Social Member you will be supporting the Club both in person but also financially. As a Social Member you will have free season ticket entry to our 1st XV games (normal entry fee is £3.00), the ability to purchase international tickets (subject to availability) and discounted Tea & Coffee at Sunday Training.
So, please join us as a paying Social Member. How to register and pay? Just ask any of the Committee Members or Coaches for help and assistance.

Kind regards.

David Comeskey. President Ponteland RFC
