Pontyates RFC travelled to Cwmtwrch with a team strengthened by several new additions to the squad over the summer months.

The pack had experienced campaigners and the backs included some young new signings with tremendous potential for the future.

After dominating the first ten minutes of the match, the experienced home team looked shell-shocked for the rest of the game by the strong performance displayed by Pontyates RFC, expertly marshalled by Jonathon Cronin at outside half.
