The 1st XI Match tomorrow is sponsored in memory of former Club Captain who died on 14th July 1984

Pam , John and Susan Wood can think of no better way than remembering the 30th anniversary of his passing than sponsoring his beloved village Cricket Team. Mick Wood loved Cricket and he loved his Village Club. He would take tremendous pride in the great strides it has made in the last 30 years. He wanted his home Club to play at a level where the kids could stay and develop. He would be bursting with pride to see the junior section with so many kids playing the great game.
Mick passed away on the 14th July 1984 , keeping wicket, captaining his own village where he was born and bred. All too short an innings though at 47 years of age. His legacy and dreams are there for all to see.........................

Missed every day by his loving family and will never be forgotten. The greatest Club man of them all.
