Spearheaded by Safety Officer Brian Ramsden, Port Sunlight have become grateful recipients of a Defibrillator supplied by the Oliver King Foundation.

Following a campaign and fund raising, Brian Ramsden and Paul Cromby have been successful in securing a defibrillator for the club as part of a drive to make activities at Port Sunlight RFC safe for all participants.

Courtesy of the Oliver King Foundation www.theoliverkingfoundation.co.uk the club have been able to train up a dozen members in the First Aid and use of the defibrillator. The new defibrillator is simple to use and will be available to all users of the Leverhulme sports complex.

Over 150,000 young people each year experience to potentially fatal heart attacks or SADS. The availability and use of defibrillators greatly increases the chance of survival in the event of an attack as a young person or at any age.

Ask about it next time you are at the club!
