Thilan takes over from Mike Palmer, who has led the Colts section with great dedication for many years. Mike oversaw Thilan’s own journey when he joined the Colts at the age of 12 and played a major role in helping many young players progress to First-Class Cricket, National Counties Cricket, the Club’s First XI, and adult cricket both within our club and beyond. The club extends its heartfelt thanks to Mike for his outstanding commitment and service over the years.

As we look to the future, Thilan brings with him fresh ideas and enthusiasm after a year away from First-Class Cricket. Having been coached by some of the best in the game during his time with Middlesex and now SACA, he’s eager to share his knowledge and experience with the next generation of players.

With strong competition for young cricketers in the area, it’s vital that our Junior Section continues to evolve. Thilan’s appointment represents an exciting new chapter — one that promises innovation, energy, and a renewed focus on development.
