So the final match of the league season and a trip to a ground Bar have a honking record at and whilst most have little to play for, Bar can still finish second. Considering they gave the rest of the division a 3-game head start after a shambolic beginning, that for the writer would be a satisfactory ending to 2025.
For Radlett, they pretty much sit bang in the middle of the ladder. They are as many points from second as they are second from bottom and being without Middlesex cricketers in Josh de Caires and Noah Cornwell, that has pretty much killed their season. Josh has played just once and Noah three times.
Withe the bat new recruit Archie Harrison has had a stellar first year and notched 611 runs at 43 and solid years from Dom Chatfield 398 at 26 and David Burnell 374 at 26. The ball has been dominated by overseas Aussie pro Peter Hatzoglou who has taken 31 wickets at 28 and Kabir Toor 25 wickets at 21.
Their season has been inconsistent. They've won 7 matches - lost 7 matches and as stated earlier sit slap bang in the middle. They've won just 3 times at home all season, losing to Totteridge Millhillians, Flitwick, Harpenden and Bishop's Stortford.
Earlier on in the season Bar gave Radlett probably their biggest defeat of the summer. Bar posted 307 for 6 from their 60 overs with James Seward scoring 115 and Reece Hussain 80*. Radlett were skittled for just 96 with Thilan Walallawita taking a career PB best of 7 for 20.
The corresponding fixture last year at Cobden Hill saw torrential rain all day and called off around an hour before the start.
Likely Bar-Line-up
Team should be confirmed later in the week but James Seward should come in for James Scott and there maybe a first appearance of the season for Rishi Patel should his employers allow, coming in for James Ilott.
expected
Rishi Patel, James Seward (w) Reece Hussain, Charlie Scott, Ashleigh Cox, Anmol Maheshram, Dan Millard, Thilan Walallawita, Luke Chapman, Callum Lloyd and Jigar Mehta
