Potters Bar 3rd X1 thoroughly outplayed Kings Langley 2nd X1 on Saturday beating the home side with ease by 10 wickets. Dave Pett yet again lost the toss and the home side elected to bat first on the common at Kings Langley.
The home side were soon in trouble as Tommy Rowlands took three wickets in his opening spell before being replaced by Chris Boyce who took a couple of wickets.
Tom Kerr was the star bowler taking 5 – 26 from his 6 over spell as the home side were dismissed for a paltry score of 75 in just 21 overs.
The game didn’t last long as Bar’s 3rd X1 cruised to a ten wicket victory with the home sides below par total being passed in just 12 overs.
Tom Pett scored a fine unbeaten half century that included 3 sixes finishing on 52 not out ably assisted by uncle Dave who ended 23 not out.
Next week the team can look forward to a rare appearance on the main ground at The Walk when they play host to Hatfield and Crusaders 2nd X1 looking to make it three wins from four.
