On a damp day at Owens school, Preston won the toss and put us in to bat, which looked a good call as 2 quick wickets fell with the score on 9.
Sanji and Lewy put on 47 for the 3rd wicket when Lewy dicided to miss a straight ball!
Bar scraped to 107 all out which looked about 30 runs short . After a lovely Mrs Taylor tea as well as an inspired talk from skipper Tim Ellis he lead the team on to the field.
Tim and Jeff opened up in fine style, wickets started to fall Tim taking 6 for 5 (3wides in that) with Preston last 2 batters at the wicket staying a little to long , young Sam stepped up to take the final wicket to win a good game.
Bar won by 61 runs and remain in 2nd spot awaiting a trip to the exiled Cobblers next Saturday.
