Captain Jacob Haynes put Southgate in a freezing evening. Opening pair Dinuka Karunathilaka and Krishna Dave kept things tight in the early overs with Dinuka taking the only wicket to fall. Pravin Walallwita, Ajith Ramanathan, Matthew Hayes and Jack Matthews following on the good work and restricted Southgate to a 68 total of the a restricted 12 over match.Ably supported in the field by everyone especially Liam Selwyn with extra special mention to Aaron Patel who kept well with no byes despite it being the first time behind the timbers.
Bar wasted no time setting of as Lewis Harris and Jacob Haynes ticked along nicely. Lewis fell to a smart catch just behind square and Jacob was bowled after some powerful striking. However with some nice stokes from Ashish Padki and support from Krishna PB got home with an over to spare.
