Cup run ends against Ealing

Bar's U11 teams cup run cam to a halt on Friday against a strong Ealing side. Ealing won the toss and batted. Sam Bevan and Krishna Dave bowled well but the Ealing top three proved to be on good form. Dinuka Kanunathilaka and Archie Mathers also bowled well but it wasn't until the 12 over and 104 runs that Bar took their first wicket. Matthew Haynes , Praveen Walallawita and Aaron Patel all toiled well but Ealing ended up with an impressive 162 off their 20 overs.

Bar got of to a good start despite losing Archie Maters in the first over. Both Harrison Priestnall and Lewis Harris ran well and got to 56 off 8 overs before Lewis fell quickly followed by Harrison. Sam Bevan and Krishna continued to play powerfully but Ealing were taking all their catches and one by one Bars effort faded. Finn Kelsey held up one end but Dinuka, Matthew, Aaron, Praveen and Raees Khan playing his first match all succumbed finishing on 94.
