Away day joy in the rain

Ward-Cochrane brace give 'Scholars' the points

“Goal of the Season” Karen Pond

A scrambled tap in and an absolute screamer. Two goals from Ben Ward - Cochrane gave the Scholars a well deserved three points in the rain away to Kingstonian.

A solid defensive performance and some fine saves from Niko TZANEV kept the visitors in the game before Ward-Cochrane gave them the lead on the half hour.

The second came in more spectacular fashion as a magnificent cross field ball from Keagan Cole found Ward - Cochrane in space. He took it on and smashed it past Tolfrey in the Kinstonian goal.

With the rain lashing down the Scholars were looking comfortable until some last ditch substitutions from the home side saw them present more of a threat. The pressure eventually told as they finally breached the Scholars defence in the 91st minute giving the Bararmy faithful just a few moments of anxiety before the final whistle.
