The club can confirm that it has parted ways with Assistant Manager John Mackie. As a result of the COVID 19 outbreak and work commitments, Mackie has decided that he will be unable to give his full commitment to Potters Bar next season, and as such, has left his role as Assistant Manager of the club.

Mackie was Scholars’ boss Lee O’Leary’s right-hand man for last season, guiding us to a 13th placed finish at the point where the season was terminated as a result of the pandemic. Following the news, Director Adam Waller has had the following to say, “Mackie is a lovely guy and will be missed by all associated with the club.”

The club would like to place on record their gratitude towards Mackie for his efforts and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
