
Potters Bar Town exited the Herts Senior Cup on Tuesday night, letting a 2 goal lead slip to lose 4-2 against Watford U21s.
It was a strong start from the Scholars, threatening the Watford goal early on with Fairhurst playing the ball to Kyei who attempted to bend a shot into the far right corner, grazing the post.
This sustained pressure resulted in a goal soon after, Eze shooting from the edge of the box and hitting the inside of the post, his shot trickling across the face of goal to be tapped in by Adams to make it 1-0.
The lead was doubled soon after, Kyei pouncing on a defensive error and driving to play the ball to Adams to chip his shot over the onrushing keeper for 2-0.
A barrage of Watford pressure ensued, Keyes’ shot spilled by the keeper for Okosun to convert for 2-1.
The visitors then drew level in added time of the first half, with Keyes involved again to play a ball across the box which evaded the defence was and tucked away by Barrett for 2-2.
Watford continued their momentum in the second half, with a soft penalty drawn by Nabizada stepping across Gyebi.
His penalty was saved, but the rebound fell straight to his feet to put his side ahead for 3-2.
Watford scored their final goal in added time with Keyes combining again with Barrett, the latter cutting back inside and firing his shot into the roof of the net to make it 4-2.
