More last-minute drama. A see-saw game in the sweltering late summer sun saw The Scholars come away with a point in a game which saw them go in front and then twice come from behind to share the spoils.
On the back foot for much of the first twenty minutes Bar were denied what appeared a clear and obvious penalty as James Budden was impeded in the box only for the officials to turn a blind eye. The protestations from the big man unfortunately earned him a booking.
Ten minutes later, though, Potters Bar took the lead as a ball from Andy Lomas found Josh Hutchinson who fed Ryan Young on the right to cross to the back post where Brad Sach netted for the fourth game in a row to make it 1-0.
Sadly the lead lasted just eight minutes as James Hammond free-kick (awarded for what no-one knows) evaded the defensive wall to slip in close to the post. 1-1
Lewes went in front twenty minutes into the second half as a cross from the right found Olajuwon Adeyemo in the middle to head home unchallenged.
The lead for Lewes lasted just two minutes as Bar equalised with another fine goal. Brad Sach found the dangerous Ryan Young on the right with the winger playing in a perfect cross to the back post for Josh Hutchinson to stoop and head home.
With twelve minutes to go it looked all over for The Scholars as Olajuwon Adeyemo once again found space in the box to take advantage of a fumbled cross to give the home side the lead. 3-2.
Bar pressed forward looking for an equaliser and just as it looked as though time was running out George Quarrington-Carter and Ryan Young combined brilliantly on a break down the right wing with the centre half providing an inch perfect cross for substitute Thomas Gogo to tuck away at the back post to give the Scholars a well-deserved point.
