Passing of Billy Roe

More sad news for the Prenton RUFC family.
Prenton RUFC have sadly been informed of the passing of Billy Roe this evening (14/08/19).
Billy was better known as"The Moose" and although retiring from playing rugby whilst at Old Instonians he was a member of Prenton RUFC since the formation.
He was always on the sideline supporting Prenton 1st XV, usually with a couple of bottles of beer to keep him company. He was always one of the last to leave the club on match day, and would memorise many a member with tales of rugby past.
Billy's presence at Prenton became more infrequent as he battled with various bouts of I'll health, however when he did make a visit to the club, it was as if he hasn't been away.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Prenton RUFC Committee will pass on condolences from all club members to Billy's family.
Funeral details will be posted as soon as known.
