Prescot is an historic market town made famous for its links to Watchmaking and largescale cabling production at BICC which gives the football club its name. Prescot has several excellent places to eat and drink, including Pinion, Yada and the Imaginarium Bistro. Fans of Real Ale or Craft Beer will enjoy The Bard, a micropub just a couple of minutes walk from the ground. A short walk in the opposite direction finds you at the Sun Inn, which is a great example of a traditional pub. After a game you are likely to find a Cables player (or ten!) enjoying a post match drink in the Spanish Caravan.
Prescot's newest landmark attraction is the 450 seat Shakespeare North Playhouse - opened Summer 2022 - which hosts touring productions of the Bards work as well as contemporary theatre, music and comedy from the best local and national acts.
