Cables announce restructure

Prescot Cables Football Club can tonight announce that following our Annual General Meeting (AGM) it has been confirmed that a new company - Fortis Venues Ltd - will commence the management of the Venue (The Joseph Russell Stadium) of Prescot Cables Football Club with immediate effect.
This decision has been agreed with the full backing of the clubs Board of Directors and will serve to put the club on a sounder financial standing.
We live in difficult times, with increasing costs and rising bills for basic utilities such as water and electricity - and as a club we are not exempt from this. The expense of hosting football matches and fielding a competitive team on the pitch do not remain static.
Following an appeal for new Directors to join the board, and the appointment of 4 new Directors in February 2023, a thorough and robust evaluation of the clubs finances was undertaken and it is our firm belief that this structural change is necessary to allow the club to flourish in the months and years to come.
Fortis Venues Ltd will manage revenue generated by the football club and the venue (including on Non-Matchdays); which will in turn will see finances recycled into the playing squad and matchday running costs of Prescot Cables FC; both home and away, as well as any other financial obligations that the club may have.
This is very much a collaboration; the two entities working together as one to achieve our shared goal - success on the pitch. There will remain a Board of Directors of Prescot Cables FC; chaired by Tony Zeverona, and a detailed Service Level Agreement (SLA) will be adopted by both PCFC and Fortis Venues Ltd.
This structural change will allow our Football Board to focus on what they do best - Football, as well as supporting our First Team Management in assembling a competitive playing squad. All the while having the confidence that the clubs finances are being managed in a sustainable way.

Fortis Venues Ltd is headed by 3 of the 'new' directors first announced in February 2023 - Graham Black, Ian Wright and Chris Melling - as well as Michael Corless, who will leave his position on the Football Clubs Board. Ian, Chris, Graham and Michael will be familiar faces to many of you and all have the Clubs best interests at heart.

We look forward to the new season with renewed vigour, as we seek to build on last season's ninth placed finish in the league and we are confident that we have the right structure in place to allow us to do this.

Thank you for your continued support - Up the Pesky Bulls!
