The spoils were shared this afternoon after a very competitive encounter. Cables had the better of the second half, but Hyde remained dangerous on the break throughout, and neither side could come up with a winner.

The visitors started off on the front foot, yet it was the home side who drew first blood, Elliott sweeping a loose ball that
Hiddleston looked bound to gather, and firing goalwards from an angle to make it 1-0.

It took only 12 minutes however for Hyde to equalise; Redshaw finding space on the edge of the area, and levelling proceedings
with the help of a deflection enough to deceive Hare.

The first half remained energetic throughout, Redshaw continuing to establish his authority on the game, and testing Hare with a strike from range on the stroke of half time.

Cables were the side who saw more of the second half’s opportunities, with an effort blocked on the line, whilst Goodwin
and Carberry also came close.
Danger man Redshaw looked to nick a late winner for his side, but failed twice, as he watched his first effort trickle narrowly
wide, with the latter being denied by Cables’ number 1 Calvin Hare minutes before the full time whistle indicated a draw was
to be the outcome.
