Prescot Cables Football Club Announce Major Stadium Enhancements

Lee Fisher13 Feb - 15:18

Club secures funding for stadium improvements.

Prescot Cables Football Club is pleased to announce that substantial improvements are underway at the Auto Safety Centre Stadium, following a successful application for funding from the Premier League Stadium Fund. This grant, supported by the stadium's landlord, Knowsley Borough Council, will significantly enhance the facility.

As part of the club’s promotion to the Northern Premier League, Premier Division at the end of last season, several infrastructure upgrades were required to ensure compliance with league standards and to position the club for future progression up the football pyramid. Over the past 12-18 months, the club's current Board of Directors has successfully stabilised financial operations, enabling the presentation of a compelling case for funding.

With over £200,000 now available to spend, the club is making immediate and impactful improvements to the stadium. Key enhancements currently in progress include:

  • Demolition of the existing outbuilding and installation of dedicated male and female external toilet facilities
  • Upgrades to terracing to enhance spectator comfort and safety
  • Development of a new stadium entrance and exit adjacent to Eaton Park, featuring new turnstiles, improved fencing, and enhanced lighting
  • Replacement of the existing wooden pitch-side perimeter fencing with modern, durable metal fencing

These improvements will significantly enhance the matchday experience for supporters and reflect the club’s long-term commitment to growth and development. The Board of Directors views these investments as a clear demonstration of the club’s strategic vision for the future.
