Tony Donaldson returned to the Cables squad in time for our 2-2 draw with Macclesfield on 21st December having returned to the UK for the Christmas period. Tony was a key player for Cables last season as we gained promotion via the end of season Play-Offs before heading Stateside for a career opportunity. Whilst in the US, Tony has been playing for New Jersey based side Hoboken FC. Tony will remain with the squad until early 2025.
Striker Kallan Murphy has returned to Marine upon the completion of his loan spell. Kallan scored once in three appearances for Cables, netting in our away draw at Basford United.
Liam Goulding has returned to Australia after spending the previous two months with Cables, registering 5 appearances during that time.
We thank both Kallan and Liam for their efforts in Amber and Black.
Winger Lewis Gilboy has an opportunity to work and play football in Australia and has departed the club. Gilboy proved a popular figure at Cables after signing in August 2024 from FC United of Mancheser, scoring twice in 24 appearances. We wish Lewis the best of luck Down Under!
Joining on loan is Welsh defender, Scott Butler, also from Marine FC. Scott, 22, is a former Swansea City and Wrexham AFC youth player who was part of Marine's promotion squad last season and has made 7 appearances for the Crosby side so far this season. Welcome to Cables, Scott!
