P&S welcome DN3 newcomers, West End RFC to Stocksfield for the first encounter between the sides. Our visitors have started their inaugural campaign strongly with some impressive victories including a 16-15 win at Gosforth. They are however on the back of a defeat to league leaders Wallsend, losing 28-7 last weekend.
On the other hand, spirits are high in the P&S camp after last weeks strong win at Jarrovians and are looking to continue their push up the league. In the pack, Alex Fitton and Ryan Chamberlain are unavailable however the welcome return of both Andy Marsh and Geoff Logan more than make up for their losses. Yannick Debil also makes the squad after his injury at South Shields in week 1 to complement a strong looking back row.
In the backline, half back pairing of Patterson and Brennan will continue at 9 and 10 after linking well. Harry Armstrong returns to add direct running lines in the centres whilst fingers are crossed that Max Wainwright manages to be available after last weeks superb display from 15. Whiley, Dodds, Condren and Clarkson provide the pace out wide leaving coach Russell with plenty of options.
Kick off is now at the earlier time of 2pm at Stocksfield sports club and as usual any support would be greatly appreciated.
