In aid of Mind.

Being stuck in lockdown like many of us, P&S player Daniel Whiley found himself nominated for the 'Run 5, Donate 5' challenge numerous times but instead he opted to make the best of a bad situation and take it to the next level. Dan decided to run a marathon (26.2 miles) around his estate, one lap around his estate is 0.39 miles so this meant that 68 laps would equal a marathon.

On Sunday the 3rd May, Dan Whiley completed his epic challenge, all for Mind Charity. Starting at 9am, Dan was cheered on by his neighbours until he finished in the early afternoon for a well deserved beer.

We spoke to Dan shortly after who said 'I'm proud to complete the marathon on a personal level but absolutely overwhelmed by the kind and generous donations from everyone. I set out to raise £1,000 and thought I would be lucky to do that so to be sat at £2,100 with more donations to come is amazing and all for an incredible charity.'

Mind is a charity close to millions of people's hearts across the UK and if you can spare any amount, small or large to support Dan then we would be greatly appreciative.
And if you are wondering what the light blue squiggley lines on the photo are, that is of course Dan's route around the estate!

Well done Dan, you've done us all proud.
